Charlie Wilson

Charlie Wilson is a singer, songwriter, and musician who is best known as the lead vocalist of the funk and R&B band, The GAP Band. The band was formed in 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and consisted of Charlie Wilson and his two older brothers, Robert and Ronnie Wilson.

Charlie Wilson’s powerful and soulful voice was a defining characteristic of The GAP Band’s music, which blended elements of funk, R&B, and soul. The group had a string of hits in the 1970s and 1980s, including “Outstanding,” “You Dropped a Bomb on Me,” and “Early in the Morning.”.
